Oz Sozen
Quant Strategist
HFT / C++ / Python / FPGA
Oz is a classically-trained quant, technical AI strategist, and an entrepreneurial bare metal engineer, leveraging machine-learning and quant risk management priors for medium-to-high frequency trading.
With a long-term quantitative macro thesis, Oz anticipates accelerating global adoption of cryptographically-secured transactions, will fuel an exponential increase in both open trading volume and governance participation in adaptable centralized and decentralized markets.
As a machine-learning pioneer in quantitative finance and trading, Oz partnered with cofounders from Hehmeyer Trading, Jump Trading, and other prominent futures trading groups in Chicago to start LaSalle Trading Group, an HFT (high-frequency trading) firm specializing in nanosecond-latency custom-designed hardware and order-book models to trade at ultra-high Sharpe with less than 0.02% drawdown. Previously he managed $10T mortgage market risk post-2008 crisis with industry-wide applied behavioral AI, still in use by top banks and institutions, including the Federal Reserve, and hedged notoriously volatile energy power derivatives post-Enron with predictive ML. Clients of Oz's prior quant consulting projects include the Department of Energy, US Council on Competitiveness, and California Public Utilities Commission.

Oz builds proprietary investment vehicles for alpha capture and advises partners on artificial intelligence, cryptographic network innovation, and long-term technology strategy with a deeply practical, technical, and economic understanding of both the fundamentals and future evolution of current trends.
